These rowdy rascals dubbed The Bad Batch are returning for another season on Disney Plus this fall, as recently announced at Star Wars Celebration 2022 in California.
Amidst new information revealed at the geek event about more live-action “Star Wars” shows like “Andor,” “The Mandalorian” season three, and “Ahsoka,” animation fans got their own treat with a new teaser for “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” season 2 and it looks like another exciting collection of heartwarming conflicts for the genetically modified soldiers.
Produced by Lucasfilm Animation, “The Bad Batch” first arrived last year as a spinoff of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” Executive producer Dave Filoni (“The Mandalorian,” “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) is also back in this second season to oversee the explosive antics. This adventurous series chronicles the courage and glory of Clone Force 99, which is comprised of the clone-enhanced Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, and Tech, and their unmodified female clone Omega, as they race across a galaxy far, far away during the turbulent Imperial era of Emperor Palpatine after the Clone Wars.
Last Sunday’s Star Wars Celebration “Bad Batch” special panel was filled by series supervising director/executive producer Brad Rau; writer/executive producer Jennifer Corbett; and story editor Matt Michnovetz. Dee Bradley Baker, the vocal talent behind all the character voices; and Michelle Ang, the voice of Omega, joined the rest of the performance.

In season two of “The Bad Batch”, months have passed since the pivotal events in season one’s Kamino and the only cloned mercenaries continue their quest across the vast Empire after the fall of the Republic. On his next journeys, Clone Force 99 will be reunited with his lost companion Crosshair and encounter new friends and foes in a variety of dangerous destinations. The returning characters Cid, Admiral Rampart and the gregarious Captain Rex will be an important part of this new season which reveals updated armor colors and styles for the boys as well.
