Trump rages Ivanka was ‘checked out’ before 2020 election after she is used in evidence against him at Jan 6 hearing

Donald Trump said his daughter Ivanka “checked out” ahead of the 2020 election after she was used in evidence against him during the House Committee hearing on Jan.

Trump also raged at his former attorney general Bill Barr for turning against him during the investigation of the insurrection.

The House panel presented portions of its interview with Barr on Thursday night. Barr said Trump’s false allegations of fraud were “silly” and that he didn’t want “to be a part of it”.

Trump, one of his father’s most trusted advisers, told the panel he didn’t think the 2020 election was stolen.

She said that what Mr. Barr told her about the election changed her point of view. “It affected my perspective,” she told the committee. “I respect Attorney General Barr, so I took what he said.”

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in analyzing or studying the election results,” Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday morning. “She was long gone and in my opinion she was just trying to be respectful of Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he was shit!).”

“I had three discussions with the president that I can remember,” Barr told the committee. “One was on November 23, one was December 1, and one was December 14, and I went through a sort of exchange of ideas, and in that context I made it clear that I didn’t agree with the idea of saying the election was stolen and publicizing these things, which I told the president were bullshit**,” he added during the pre-recorded interview first shared with the public on Thursday night.

“And I didn’t want to be a part of it and that’s one of the reasons I decided to leave when I did. I noted, I think it was December 1st, you know, he cannot live in a world where the incumbent government remains in power based on its view, not supported by specific evidence that there was election fraud,” he added.

Trump furiously attacked Barr on Truth Social.

“Bill Barr was a weak and scared attorney general who was always being ‘played’ and threatened by Democrats and was terrified of being impeached,” Trump wrote.

“How not to be impeached? Do nothing, or say anything, especially about the obviously rigged and stolen election or, to put it another way, the crime of the century! The Democrats nailed Barr, he was stupid, ridiculously said there was no problem with the election, and they left him alone. It worked for him, but not for our country!” added Trump.

Trump wrote in a second post about Barr that he “was a coward who wouldn’t let his US Attorney in Philadelphia, where voter fraud was rampant, even think to look at it… was told that too!”

“The so-called ‘Run to the Capitol’ was not caused by me, it was caused by a rigged and stolen election!” Trump said.

“I NEVER said, or even thought to say, ‘Hang Mike Pence’. This is a story made up by someone who wants to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!” Trump wrote about evidence that he reacted positively to his supporters’ cries to hang the vice president for refusing to help overturn the election.

“Many people spoke to me about the election results, both for and against, but I never wavered one bit – follow the facts and the evidence. The 2020 presidential election was rigged and stolen… And look at our country now – it’s not pretty!!!” Trump posted on Truth Social, repeating his false claims that the election was stolen.
